Circus, science, kitsch (a Sugar Beast Circus trademark), fiendish intricacy – definitely worth the price of admission.”
- John Ellingsworth, SideShow Circus Magazine 2012

”Jacques Derrida suggested that to be haunted by a ghost is to remember something you have never lived through. [Sugar Beast Circus] is like a physical manifestation of this idea…” - Lyn Gardner, The Guardian, 2010

“The Sugar Beast Circus is less plot and more metaphysics” - Franco Milazzo, The Londonist 2010

As an independent artist, director and scholar I create performance that synthesizes textual research and ontological approaches with embodied knowledge.  Emerging from the lineage of circus, dance-theatre and vaudeville, my work uses extreme physicality, imagination and nonlinear connections with fact, science and history to actively distance the audience from conventional narrative structures in order to sketches intuitive landscapes, alternate realities and new discourse with mainstream culture. My work coalesces under the company name Sugar Beast Circus. Established in 2007 Sugar Beast Circus is an interdisciplinary platform that has toured internationally and developed multiple works through interdisciplinary collaborations.  Sugar Beast Circus was shortlisted for the prestigious Jeunes Talents Cirque and is recognized in the French contemporary circus anthology Panorama contemporain des arts du cirque.
